Chicken Broth


  • Bones from 1 chicken
  • 2 stalks celery including tops coarsely chopped
  • 2 carrots coarsely chopped
  • 1 large onion coarsely chopped
  • 4 cloves of garlic coarsely chopped
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar


  1. Place the bones in the slow cooker.
  2. Add remaining ingredients.
  3. Add enough water to your slow cooker to fill it three-fourths full. (Do not fill more than three fourths. Your slow cooker will not work correctly if you do.)
  4. Cover slow cooker and set to low.
  5. Cook for 8 to 12 hours.
  6. Strain into freezer safe jars, leaving one-inch headroom.

You can freeze for up to 6 months.
